The importance of a repair service

A repair service is critical to an sustainable and ethical business. This is especially true in a circular economy where the emphasis is on reusing materials instead of throwing them away and extracting new resources. It is crucial to repair and reuse limited resources to ensure their continued availability in the future.

Your 12-Month warranty on repairs

In the unlikely event of issues, I offer a 12-month warranty on all jewellery made by Jewellery by Toni-Maree. I will repair faults and breakages caused through defects in material and workmanship free of charge for the warranty period. This warranty does not cover neglect, rough use, loss, theft, failure to follow my Jewellery care instructions, or normal wear and tear. Damage or loss resulting from failure to obtain necessary repairs to maintain the integrity of the item are also not covered.

The warranty terms and conditions are as follows:

  • The warranty period commences from the date of purchase. Proof of purchase is required for the warranty to be valid.
  • The warranty does not cover any damage to jewellery caused by neglect, rough use, failure to follow my Jewellery care instructions, or normal wear and tear. For instance, the warranty will not apply if the item is assessed to have been hit, knocked, dropped, or pulled, or if any other damage was caused by neglect, rough use, failure to follow my Jewellery care instructions, or normal wear and tear. Jewellery by Toni-Maree is solely responsible for assessing the cause of any damage.
  • Normal wear and tear includes scratches, stone loss, breakage or bending, as well as tarnishing or deterioration due to failure to follow my Jewellery care instructions. Please be mindful that jewellery needs to looked after and cared for to ensure a lifetime of wear.
  • Any jewellery that has been repaired by another jeweller will void the warranty. Jewellery by Toni-Maree is solely responsible for assessing whether repairs have been performed by another jeweller.
  • You are responsible for all shipping costs associated with returning an item to Jewellery by Toni-Maree for assessment and repair, including items within the 12-month warranty period. If you are shipping an item worth more than $100, you should consider using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. I offer no guarantee that I will receive your package. 

My paid repair service

If damage occurs outside of the 12-month warranty period or as a result of neglect, rough use, or failure to follow my Jewellery care instructions, I offer a paid repair service. After damage assessment, you will be provided with a quotation for the repair service. Acceptance of the quotation and full payment are required prior to the commencement of work. 

 

How can you request my repair service?

If you need to use my repair service under warranty or otherwise, please contact me and describe the problem in detail. After receiving the item, I will assess it thoroughly to determine if the above conditions are met. I may request additional information before continuing. Jewellery by Toni-Maree reserves the right to reject repairs under warranty or otherwise that do not comply with the above conditions.
