What is Spoon Theory?

Spoon Theory is a thoughtful way to describe the limited energy reserves that people with chronic illnesses or hidden disabilities manage each day. Each spoon represents a unit of energy, and for those of us navigating conditions that aren’t always visible, even the smallest tasks can use up a spoon. Some days, we may have enough to do all the things we want to; other days, we may need to prioritise and conserve our precious spoons. It’s a gentle reminder to approach ourselves and others with patience and understanding.
